The Future is Ours

(Northumberland National Park, Transition Tynedale 2009) (30min) Trailer Gallery:

The Future is Ours was made by Edwin Mingard, a documentary filmmaker based in Newcastle. Edwin interviewed Lord Nicholas Stern, and many local cllimate change activists. The documentary examines the role of community in the fight against climate change. Should responsibility for reducing harmful emmissions lie with government, or is it the job of individuals, acting alone, to reduce oil consumption? The Future is Ours argues that community action is essential in averting devestating climate change. The film delivers a message that is relevant to communities everywhere.
