Vicky Jones
Vicky set up the Film Project in 1999 and has had over 20 years years of experience as a community filmmaker working with many different groups around the country. Vicky is a key worker at HFP.
Marc McKiernan
Marc has extensive experience of working with different groups of young people in both education and filmmaking. He is also co-founder of Mainstream Disability Arts, a disability arts group in Hexham. Marc is a key worker at HFP.
Daniel Humes
Daniel first became involved with HFP during the town's first Film Week in 2001. He has since studied Tourism Management at the University of Stirling and supports HFP administratively.
Harry Henderson
Since the mid-70s, Harry has worked in arts development and as a freelance photographer/videomaker.
Richard Skeet
As a local businessman Richard has supported the Film Project’s activities in the past and is pleased to see such a group working with young people in the town.
Alison Dale
Ali is a freelance artist and has worked on many different projects in Tynedale. She has also been a supporter of HFP since its early days.
Annabel Newfield
Independent Filmmaker. Has worked for channel 4.
Steven Dunne
Steve works for Carlisle City Council, and was described in the Cumberland News as "Carlisle's most enthusiastic man."
Steve Fish
Steve has a particular interest and experience in the disability side of our work.
Alan Ross
Alan is head of Technical Services for the BBC Workers/Practitioners
Workers
HFP has several workers who are employed on a sessional basis to run workshops. Some of these practitioners have been brought into HFP for their specific skills.
Gemma Parsons
Gemma was Photographer-in-Residence at HFP during the Interplay project. She is a Fine Art photography graduate (Glasgow)
Lee Watson
Lee specialises in post-production, and has run training courses for HFP in a range of software. Lee has also worked at HFP Open Nights, and on First Light projects.
Gavin Blackburn
Gavin joined HFP in 2000 and has been involved with administration and workshops. A graduate of Cumbria Institute of the Arts, Gavin was the first company secretary from 2002-2004. Gavin is now based in Berlin.
Tim Wigmore-Welsh
Tim's work at HFP is mainly technical, including web support.
Shaun Elliott
Shaun ran a course of 3D animation training for older members of HFP.
Andrew Coats
A Visual Communications graduate and independent filmmaker. Andrew has been involved in several projects at HFP.
Margot Dunne
Although now living in Berlin, Margot worked for HFP for 2 years helping out with planning and workshops. She is now a broadcast journalist for the BBC World Service.
Steven Hall
Steven has helped out on a number of projects and workshops here at HFP as well as making his own short films. He is now studying Film and TV at the University of Westminster.
Susan Sinclair
Susan is a professional make-up artist and ran our special horror make-up workshop last year.
Maureen Robinson
Maureen is an IT inductions lecturer at Cumbria Institute of the Arts in Carlisle and has now been involved with two workshops at HFP specialising in computer graphics.
Edwin Mingard
Edwin has been involved with HFP for a number of years, and is now at university in London. Recently, Edwin was short-listed in a national short film competition. He continues to work with and for HFP.
John Quinn
A digital artist based in Gateshead who was recently involved with HFP on the Digital Me project.
David Clough
David has a wide experience of community arts projects and is also a professional pyrotechnician, providing the effects work for Stupendoscope.
Volunteers (Past/Present)
HFP’s activities have also been supported by a number of volunteers:
Alan Robson
Alan is a professional model maker and works with youth groups in Hexham. He has also helped out at our weekly Open Nights.
Maurice Iley
A member of our former steering group, Maurice is a trained actor and volunteers his time during any workshops where specific emphasis is put on acting.
Andrew McArthur
A recent media graduate, Andrew has started to help out on our Tuesday Open Night as well as continuing his own projects.
Jenny Findlay
A Haltwhistle resident, Jenny has a keen interest in volunteering and has, for a number of weeks now, assisted during our weekly Open Night sessions.
Jaz Retour
A psychology graduate from the University of Sunderland, Jaz is especially good at working with some of the younger members of HFP.
Jonathan Laidlow
Jon supports HFP with volunteering on a weekly basis. Still at high school, he provides both administrative and crew support.
Andrew da Costa
Andrew does supported volunteering at HFP and now helps across a wide range of projects. He is a capable stills photographer.
June Abbott
June is a UN translator who has helped with admisistration, and who recently translated the dialogue for an animation into Spanish for us.
